Constructed from materials I had on hand, found or purchased inexpensively, this is the third guitar I made, completed in February, 1981. I've described it as being the worst of the three, technically, but it actually has good volume and quite pleasing tone.
It was built because I had been pressed into a couple of groups that got gigs playing period folk in 19th century clothes and settings. I needed an instrument that projected well but didn't look blatantly out of place. At least I got the first part right.
It's held together nicely over the years in spite of its economical parts and the real beating it's taken.
